Sam fundamentally believes the state government has a role to play in uplifting our citizens by removing barriers and providing equitable opportunities for success. Good policy making requires transparency: no decisions that large should be made behind closed doors. The people of Virginia deserve assurance that our government is efficiently administered and free of systemic corruption.
In 2017 Sam was the first state elected official to campaign free from special interest donations. By making that commitment, he was able to support, uplift, and highlight how powerful our people-powered grassroot networks are in Virginia.
In his campaign for Lt. Governor, Sam is taking his commitment to good governance a step further: this campaign is being entirely funded by individual donors.
