INTERSECTIONAL JUSTICE
A Green New Deal Centered on Economic, Social, & Environmental Justice.
SUMMARY
Sam co-sponsored the Green New Deal Virginia to lay the groundwork for intersectional policies that will improve the economic well-being and quality of life for every community in Virginia. No one issue exists in a vacuum. The challenges we face are interconnected. We must recognize the role that early childhood education, criminal justice reform, neighborhood desegregation, and economic diversification has on our communities’ overall success.
Every person, community, and neighborhood deserves a healthy environment to thrive in. The Green New Deal Virginia takes an intersectional approach in addressing those issues. While advocating for policies like the GNDVA, we can also provide thousands of good paying jobs in clean energy.
